Standing on a cliff
Harsh cold wind stinging my face
The voice of my demise creeping upon me from behind the horizon
I remembered what it was like to feel alive

While looking at the unending abyss
Relentless force eating the cliffside from bellow
Seeing by body falling down in my mind
I thought of all the effort that went into this lie

A while ago I was still hopeful
Looking forward to the next place, to the utopia
But the sanctuary never came
All the places revealed their rot, right when we began to feel redeemed

I thought we were insignificant
That we won‘t be missed, won‘t be chased
But alas, it was too late
When I found our importance and that of our voices

I heard stories, in my youth
about cities a man can leave by the road
Towns you could come back to, and wanted to
Right now, while I stand on this cliff I wonder
Did it feel the same?

I failed to save them, I failed to bring our dreams to life
